very nice seaside view, and i found es canar the best beach in ibiza. from the window and terrace u can enjoy nice seaside view and the beach just a stone throw away from ur room. the lady boss was nice and friendly, the staff keep warmly asking whether u want to top up ur juice or food.nice!!!
The location to the beach. The freindliness of the staff. The breakfast. The resturant in the hotel ,very good food resonalbly priced.they also have there own bakery/cafe.exellent experience would stay again.
The only downside of being in a central location is slight traffic noise.
very personal staff Very friendly, great location next to the sea Amazing value for money
My room smelt very musty the day I arrived., breakfast starts too late, the wii fi is only accessable in the restaurant
The friendly hotel staff and the value for money. Bedroom was a good size for the price we paid, and we had a view of the bay. Evening meals were of a high standard and reasonably priced, especially the wine. Their recommendations on places to visit and to eat were spot-on. Made a good base for exploring the whole island by car. The location was peaceful, but only 20 minutes' drive to get to the city of Eivissa.
A bit of variety at breakfast time would have been appreciated - some different pastries from time to time and perhaps something savoury.
Good location, excellent food in hotel restaurant; daily 3 course menus for 9+ euros (depending on the day) exceeded our expectations to say the least; definitely one of the best (if not the best) and nicest looking restaurants in Es Canar.
It can be rather noisy during the night, we didn't mind but I guess that's something that should be mentioned. Even though the hotel rooms are advertised to have own balconies they don't (except for 5 rooms which I guess are all reserved as such and probably pay extra); that's maybe something that Booked.net should address, one way or another. Not that it matters but the safe in the room (should you choose to use it) is charged extra. The breakfast was nice but could have added some variety to it.
Good location.. Good service .. Good food .. What more do you need ? a little find for a few days away.
Very good sea landscape and near the seaside. Very friendly and warm staff.
Hotel is so far away from the Ibiza center, not proposal if you will spend most of time in Elvissa.
The room was newly decorated and very clean. It had a window with a partial sea view and was on top floor. There was a roof terrace to relax and enjoy the sun with a brilliant sea view. The staff was friendly and flexible with arrangements during my stay.
The location-although the hotel is across the road from a beautiful coast, also across the road there was a beach bar, which played terrible disco music untill 12.30 at night daily! There was no escape, because from the other side there was even louder music from a hotel nearby.
A wonderfully located hotel run by wonderfully friendly hoteliers. We came across the island from somewhere a bit more 'grumpy' with their customers. Never felt like we were on holiday there. It just shows how much difference customer service makes. Possibly one of the best "from the hotel" views in the whole of Ibiza. Even if you don't get a balcony room the entirety of the roof is a sun deck and there is another public balcony on the second floor. The hotel is right on the very corner of the bay looking back across it from the harbour to the beach. It's a massively impressive location to find a small hostal located as opposed to a mega hotel. But that is the sympathetic design of Es Canar all over. Breakfast though continental is fantastic. They went out of their way to vary the pastries and bread each morning. And of course the view is to die for. Right on the corner, across the small harbour and the beach opposite. Es Canar is wonderfully quiet yet "Granny's Bar" is very lively and late for those who want it. It's in a basement under shops sop does not spoil anyone's sleep. Best of both worlds. For me it probably has the best balance of beach, shops and natural beauty of any cove (Cala) in Ibiza and we tried most of them!
Has no swimming pool. Like many in area can use the free one across the street. Didn't try as others reviewers say it is freezing outside of summer. These are rooms not apartments. No kitchen for those who want it. But hey - the hostel is built on top of a restaurant run by the same friendly people so who cares? Bad weather stirred water in drains (as the hostal is that frontline) and created a dreadful smell in original room 107. We were moved to 104 immediately and without complaint. Note to other hotels: Friendly customer service means your guests will give you a lot of leeway if and when something unavoidable does happen. I have no problem with what happened as a result and will be marking this hotel very highly despite the small issue. Bathroom door to 104 stuck. Maid freed the lock with a cocktail stick. Fortunately we were not in it at the time. I imagine Es Canar may be a bit quiet for those who come to Ibiza for the noise and partying. But even they would probably want a quiet and beautiful base to sleep in even if you are going our partying?
